I always hate having to choose a favourite movie. There are so many! Films you can pop in and watch a hundred times (Bridget Jones, Bend It Like Beckham), movies from childhood (Lady and the Tramp), movies that make you laugh (Airplane!), movies that are just plain fabulous (Apocalypse Now, Romeo + Juliet, a billion or so others)...
But the one I always, always list is The Shining. I love everything about that movie. The set, the story, the acting, the soundtrack, the directing... love it.
Plus, it has that 30-second scene that most people don't remember but is a nod to plushophilia... weird, creepy, and totally fascinating. Marvy.
